Setting up your RFP/RFQ in the BL Marketplace: A Step-by-Step Guide
Post your project or property to a place where you know it will be picked up by first-class redevelopment professionals nationwide.
The RFP tool on BrownfieldListings.com is a simple but powerful way to signal the marketplace and call for response from other market participants. When you have a problem with your property and you need professional assistance, the RFP tool gives you the means to ask for help. It’s a free pop-up that easily attaches to any listing and is then published to the RFP Marketplace and distributed through the Brownfield Listings ecosystem.
In the RFP marketplace, you will find RFPs for properties for sale and RFQs for early stage projects. Most listers use the RFP tool to publish formal RFP/Qs. But you can also use the RFP tool to post informal inquiries to poll responses from other market participants or to provide advance notice of an upcoming RFP.
If you have an actionable RFP/Q for your redevelopment project, attaching it to a Premium Listing will give you the nationwide exposure that only the redevelopment ecosystem on BrownfieldListings.com provides.
Following are the steps to publish your RFP and post your property or project to thousands of developers and redevelopment professionals across the country. If you have a user account and a listing already populated on BL, skip to the last step.
1. Sign up for a free user account – First, you’re going to need to sign up for a free user account here.
2. Create a free Lister Organization – Once logged in, from your user dashboard select the link Create New Organization. From there, select ‘Listing Organization’, which will allow you to create listings, projects and RFP/Q’s. Learn more about Organizations.
3. Create a new listing – The RFP is an add-on to your property or project listing, so you must create a listing before you can publish your RFP. You can choose whether to create a Basic or Premium Listing, which determines your market reach. Basic Listings—and any content attached to them, including a RFP—are viewable only to users with Premium Access. Premium Listings enhance your visibility; they are openly published to the internet and viewable by anyone who visits BrownfieldListings.com.
If your redevelopment project concerns several properties or an entire area, you may enter information other than a single address in the listing field for Street Address. If you do so, you may enter a Latitude/Longitude to insure all mapping features will function properly.
And if your property is not currently for sale, or you are working on a redevelopment project where there is no price for the property, then select ‘Project Ongoing’ in the Listed Price field to signal the marketplace your listing is in project mode.
4. Create your free RFP/Q – You can create your RFP during the listing registration process, or you can enter it later. Click on ‘Add RFP’ from your listing to add one at any time. Then enter the name, description, due date and upload the RFP/Q document itself if you are able.
And that’s it! Adding your RFP or RFQ to the BL marketplace will put your project directly in front of the redevelopment professionals with the experience, expertise and technology that can meet your needs.
